Contact lens exams continue at the NRC
Over the last few weeks the NRC has been very busy, with examinations taking place in a range of subjects.
Dean Dunning is Chief Examiner for contact lenses at the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO) and has been at the NRC conducting exams. He says, “I’m very happy to be able to continue with the Contact Lens examinations at the NRC over the past couple of weeks. There has been so much uncertainty within the industry that it is a great relief to be able to resume practical examinations.
“It has only been possible to resume exams by having the highest safety standards by the examiners and the team at the NRC, who have excelled in making the venue safe to conduct the examinations. We have had to make a number of adjustments to the examination structure to ensure the safety of everybody involved, but the attitude of the students has been fantastic throughout the two weeks.
“With the National Resource Centre we have a world class examination facility which has had nothing but positive reviews from the students. Matt, Becky and Molly are doing a terrific job of making the venue both professional and welcoming. I’m looking forward to having the NRC as the home of the contact lens examinations for many years to come.”
