Introducing the exceptional events team

In case you haven’t met us, Mat, Bec, Tosin and Ruth comprise the National Resource Centre team. We are always on hand to support your events, ensuring your day runs smoothly and you have everything you need.

This brilliant team are confirmed to be 5-star and it’s high time we introduced them properly!

Mat Stringer – Operations Manager

Mat joined the team in 2019, shortly after the NRC opened, and is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of this awesome facility. He is here to make sure the NRC runs efficiently and effectively, whilst managing resources and the team to provide a great experience to all our guests. Some of his favourite things to do outside of work are watching the famous Aston Villa, walking with his dog, and going for coffee dates with Mrs Stringer. At a pub quiz, Mat would know most about music or Premier League football.

Bec Jasper-Fellows – Senior Operations Assistant

Bec became a part of the team in 2019 and has been the smiling face on reception ever since. She is here to ensure events run smoothly and that all our guests have a wonderful experience during their time with us. She’s also responsible for the NRC’s Health & Safety, maintaining it as a safe and welcoming place for everyone. Some of her favourite things to do outside of work are hiking adventures with her wife and dog (Teddy the cockapoo), visiting Betty’s famous tearoom and gardening. Her favourite season isn’t just autumn…it’s Strictly!

Tosin Adekoya – Operations Assistant

Tosin joined the team in 2024 and is here to support with customer service, setting up for events and administrative support. She is also the queen of catering, ensuring our events have food to accommodate all dietary requirements as well as plenty of yummy cakes! Some of her favourite things to do outside of work are travelling, watching movies, and dining out with her family. Her favourite quote is “Live your best life, everyone will be all right!”

Ruth Page – Operations Assistant

Ruth joined the team in early 2025 and covers a range of responsibilities around the NRC. She supports with the booking and running of events, setting up spaces, as well as taking care of the NRC’s digital footprint. Ruth can often be found taking photos and videos during events for our social media. Some of her favourite things to do outside of work are watching women’s rugby, reading fiction and cross-stitching. At karaoke, her go-to song is ‘Life Is A Highway’ by Rascal Flatts.

This fantastic four are here to support you with your event, from enquiry to end of day, and they can’t wait to welcome you to your next Birmingham event very soon.
