Welcome to the NRC, an education, events and examinations hub. We offer training facilities over 11,000 sq ft, including clinical bays. Located on the top two floors of the Aqueous II building, the natural light is unparalleled, with views of Birmingham city centre and the flight path to the airport
The NRC is set in the heart of Aston, offering parking, fast Wi-Fi, filtered water and hot drinks, including bean-to-cup high quality coffee.
We are in the heart of England, within easy reach of major road, rail and air transport. We are situated just outside Birmingham city centre, away from the ULEZ zone, saving you and your guests the clean air zone charge.
We can facilitate anything from small meetings to conferences, seminars, training, revision and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses. We can ensure privacy, should you need separation for your guests from other visitors, or between facilitators and delegates.
Our flexible facilities are adaptable, offering either one large area or up to five separate rooms on one floor. The team is happy to arrange the rooms as you require, in a theatre, lecture, exam, boardroom, U-shape or cabaret style. Whether your event is for eight or 150 people, the NRC can adapt to ensure you aren’t paying for space you don’t need.
The NRC has an outstanding range of clinical facilities, showcasing the latest optical technology. There are 10 optical bays equipped for refraction and contact lenses, as well as a pre-screening area. We have a state-of-the-art slit-lamp camera – the footage can be projected live and/or recorded on up to five screens around the venue. Our clinical bays also house equipment for dispensing, screening, minor eye conditions services and glazing.
We work with our third-party caterer to provide any food you require, including your guest’s dietary requirements. Whether you prefer street food boxes for your delegates to grab and go, or a buffet style lunch, we will arrange your catering so it’s one less thing for you to worry about.
