The Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO) is looking forward to welcoming all examinations candidates to the National Resource Centre (NRC) over the coming weeks and months.
Students will experience the new safety protocols and procedures now in place – these protocols have been sent to all candidates who have registered for their examinations; please notify examinations and registration if you have not yet received these guidelines.
As a reminder, this is what students need to bring on the day of their examination:
Requirements for exam entry:
- Exam letter
- Photo ID
- PPE face mask
Protocols to reduced sharing and cross contamination require candidates to bring:
- Their own lunch
- Pens and pencils
- Marker pens
- Facial gauge
- Frame ruler
- PD rule
- Refillable water bottle
- Travel cup for tea/coffee
Where possible ABDO is asking students to bring minimal luggage as this must remain in the seating area with the candidate.
Sterile wipes and hand sanitizer will be located throughout the NRC including for use on entry and exit of the building and each room, candidates are welcome to bring their own if they wish.
