A bright future

More than 300 student dispensing opticians joined us for the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO) revision event last week.

Sponsored by Stepper Eyewear, the event helps final-year trainees prepare for their final qualifying exam (FQE), with tuition from ABDO examiners. Both days covered the full 2015 FQE syllabus practical revision and portfolio.

We ran the two-day session twice, due to high demand, over four days.

Dean Dunning, ABDO deputy head of professional qualifications and education, said: ‘By running the event over two days, we can spend significant time with the students in all sections. Both days are instructive but informal, with ABDO examiners there to welcome and help candidates achieve exam success.’
